7 Marvel Movies That Missed the Mark: Alternate Endings We Wish We Could See

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been a cultural phenomenon since its inception in 2008 with the release of “Iron Man”. With a plethora of beloved characters and epic storylines, the MCU has captured the hearts of millions of fans worldwide.

Here are seven Marvel movies that should have ended differently.

1.Iron Man 3(2013):

The third installment of the Iron Man franchise was a major letdown for many fans, primarily due to the twist involving the Mandarin. Instead of the iconic villain we were promised, we got a comedic portrayal that fell flat. The movie would have been better served if the Mandarin was kept as a serious threat.

2.Thor:

The Dark World” (2013): While this movie had its moments, the ending left much to be desired. The final battle with Malekith felt rushed and anticlimactic. Instead, the movie should have focused more on the emotional journey of Thor and his relationship with his brother Loki.

3.Avengers:

Age of Ultron” (2015): This sequel to “The Avengers” was a mixed bag, with some great action and character moments, but ultimately fell short in its villain. Ultron, despite being voiced by James Spader, was a forgettable antagonist. The movie would have been better off introducing a more formidable foe for the Avengers to face.

4.Doctor Strange(2016):

The final battle with Dormammu was a bit of a letdown, with Strange essentially trapping the villain in a time loop until he agreed to leave Earth alone. The movie would have been more satisfying if Strange had to use his wit and intelligence to defeat Dormammu, rather than relying on a repetitive trick.

5.Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2(2017):

The sequel to the surprise hit “Guardians of the Galaxy” had a lot to live up to, and while it had its moments, the ending was a bit too saccharine. The final scene, where Yondu sacrifices himself, was touching, but the subsequent funeral scene felt melodramatic.

7.Spider-Man: Homecoming(2017):

This epic conclusion to the Infinity Saga had a lot to live up to, and for the most part, it delivered. However, the decision to have Captain America travel back in time to return the Infinity Stones felt like a cop-out. The movie would have been more satisfying if the Avengers had to make a sacrifice to restore the universe.

Conclusion

While the MCU has produced many great movies, not all of them have been perfect. These seven movies would have been better served with different endings that would have left fans feeling more satisfied.
